Hiriyur businessman get threat message from criminal lodged in Bengaluru jail

Sujay, who is lodged in Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru, allegedly threatened a Hiriyur textile trader.

CHITRADURGA: A criminal who is lodged in the Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru allegedly sent a voice message to a Hiriyur businessman, threatening to eliminate him if he did not vacate his textile shop in the next three days. The accused Sujay Bhargav a.k.a Suji is lodged in jail in the murder case of former Tumakuru mayor Gadda Ravi.

Sujay allegedly made the threat call to businessman Arjun Singh, asking him to vacate his shop near the government hospital in Hiriyur and threatening to kill him.

On Januuary 10, two unidentified men had approached Arjun Singh claiming to be Sujay’s men and had threatened him. The incident was captured on CCTV camera. A complaint had been filed at the Hiriyur Town police station.

Sujay also threatened the commercial complex owner Suryanarayan and his son. Sujay is the son of Suryanarayan’s brother Chandrashekar. However, Suryanarayan claims that he has no property dispute with Sujay as the ancestral property was divided between him and Chandrashekar. The businessman and the commercial complex owner have now approached the police seeking protection.
