Hindu groups protest in Bidar, demand arrest of youth for derogatory remarks about Lord Ram, Krishna

BIDAR: A youth from Attarga village in Hulsoor taluk was involved in a controversy for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. The incident came to light after a video of the youth’s comments went viral on social media.

The youth, identified as Kalidas Suryavanshi, allegedly made the comments while travelling with friends on a train, praising Dr B R Ambedkar and making disparaging remarks about Lord Ram and Krishna.

Hindu activists gathered at the Mehkar police station on Wednesday night, demanding the youth’s arrest and action under the law. The protesters blocked the Bidar-Hulsoor road for a few hours, causing traffic disruptions.

Police assured the protesters that the youth will be arrested and action taken, and eventually managed to calm the situation. The incident has sparked tensions in the area, with Hindu groups demanding strict action against the youth for his alleged remarks.
