High drama as BJP leader’s wife tears poster over ‘police inaction’ against him

BJP leader Mallesh's wife created a major scene on the road, alleging police inaction against her husband.

BIDAR: The wife of a BJP leader created a huge scene at Myloor Cross in the city on Wednesday morning, tearing up a poster of her husband, while accusing the police of inaction in a domestic issue.

Sadhana, wife of BJP leader Mallesh, came out on to the street when a 5,000-metre Kannada flag was being taken out in a procession, tore a poster of her husband which also had the images of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and other local leaders, and broke down.

She also pleaded with Suryakanth Nagamarapalli to ensure justice.

Sadhana claimed that her husband was involved in an illicit affair and said that though she had lodged a complaint four months ago, the police were yet to register an FIR. The police tried hard to convince her, but she wouldn’t relent.

A teary eyed Sadhana also pleaded with BJP leaders Suryakanth Nagamarapalli and Shivasharanappa Vali to ensure justice for her. She was finally led away from the spot by the police.
