SHIVAMOGGA: Heavy vehicle traffic has been banned on the Agumbe Ghat Road, a section of National Highway 169A, from June 15 to September 30 due to the risk of landslides caused by heavy rains and movement of heavy vehicles.

The district administration has imposed this restriction to ensure public safety. The deputy commissioner, Gurudath Hegde, has banned heavy vehicles from using the Agumbe Ghat road, a part of the NH-169A , due to the risk of landslides.
