BENGALURU: Two suspects, both minors, have been detained in connection with the stone-pelting incident during the Om Shakti procession in JJ Nagar, Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said on Tuesday.
The police chief said no evidence of narcotics or substance abuse has been found. The area remained tense on Tuesday mornning, with heavy police presence and checkpoints set up. Shops closed early as a precaution. Over 100 police personnel, including KSRP squads, were deployed to maintain order.
Heavy police presence was seen in the area and checkpoints had been set up. The police were monitoring the situation closely to prevent any further incidents. The affected areas include JJ Nagar, VS Garden, Padarayanapura, Goripalyaand Sangam Circle.
