BENGALURU: Covid-19 cases are on the rise again in the state. In Bengaluru, three children, including a nine-month-old baby, have tested positive for Covid. Fortunately, all the children are healthy and do not have any health issues.
Covid testing is likely to resume from tomorrow across the state. There are currently 35 Covid cases in the state, with 33 cases reported in Bengaluru alone. Pregnant women, children, and senior citizens have been suggested to take precautions.
In view of the surge in cases, the state government has decided to reopen Covid testing labs in medical college hospitals and district hospitals. A meeting of officials decided to open eight RT-PCR testing labs across the state.
As of May 24, 35 Covid cases have been reported in the state, sparking fears of a further rise in cases. Apart from Bengaluru, cases have also been reported in Ballari, Hosapete and Belagavi.
To control the spread of the disease, the Health Department has decided to release a Covid health bulletin on Monday, which will provide updates on the Covid situation in the state. The bulletin will be released in the same format as before.
Symptoms of Covid-19 include fever, cold, cough, tiredness, breathing difficulties in some cases, headache. The symptoms are reportedly mild and no severe symptoms are seen in the latest variant.
