Health department is transferring staff who have been working for 10-15 years in same place

BENGALURU: After 15 years, the health department has taken a major decision which has come as a disappointment for all staff those who have been working for 10-15 years in the same place.

The health department has ordered compulsory transfer of around 6,000 employees, including doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, who have been working in the same hospital for over 10-15 years.

Breaking the Stigma: Men in NursingThe transfer applies to staff working in general hospitals such as KC General Hospital, Jayanagar General, and C V Raman Nagar Hospital. The employees will be transferred to hospitals outside the Greater Bengaluru area.

The staffers are upset and unhappy with the department’s decision, citing difficulties such as children having to get admission to new schools and finding new accommodation. Despite these concerns, the health department has made it clear that the transfer is mandatory and that everyone will have to report to their new posting.

The affected employees are reportedly planning to approach the High Court, challenging the department’s decision.
