Head teachers can’t attend functions during school hours

BENGALURU: The Department of Education has issued an order directing school principals to provide prior information before attending meetings and events during school hours.

This move comes after it was observed that many principals were attending events without permission, affecting the school’s daily routine and impacting the quality of education.

The order states that principals must provide information about the event, including the invitation, any letter and agenda, before attending it. If any teachers failed to comply with the order, disciplinary action will be taken.

This decision aims to ensure that school principals prioritize their responsibilities and maintain the quality of education.
