BENGALURU: A police head constable, attached to the Chamarajpet police station, was arrested along with his brother, and also placed under suspension, for allegedly manhandling civic officials who were conducting an inquiry.
The arrested are head constable Madhusudhan and his younger brother Manjunath. The latter runs a fish tava fry stall in front of GT World Mall on Magadi Road and it was alleged that liquor was also being sold at the fish stall illegally.
When some officials went to the fish stall to conduct an investigation, Madhusudhan allegedly manhandled them and threatened to approach the state human rights commission.
Following the incident, a case was registered at the KP Agrahara police station and Madhusudhan and Manjunath were arrested. Following his arrest, Madhusudhan was placed under suspension.
