BENGALURU: Former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Monday requested his nephew and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna through the media to return to Karnataka and present himself before court.
Speaking at a press conference, Kumaraswamy said, “If you have respect for former PM H D Deve Gowda, come back in the next 24 to 48 hours and face the investigation. Why should you be afraid? If you did something wrong, let’s face the punishment”.
“The party has grown with the support of activists. We have grown with their blessings. I am requesting that you should come back, wherever you are, and cooperate with the investigation”, Kumaraswamy appealed to Prajwal. “How long will this hide-and-seek game go on? I told Deve Gowda to make a request. But now I am appealing. Let’s face the investigation”, he added.
MP Prajwal Revanna flew abroad just as the pen drive in ‘obscene video’ case was leaked. The SIT has no information about his whereabouts, though a blue corner notice was issued. The case is taking fresh twists with audio clips of a purported conversation between Congress leader L R Shivaramegowda and BJP leader and lawyer Devaraje Gowda coming out. The audio clips may give some more clues to the SIT in cracking the case.
