Hassan Lok Sabha candidate Prajwal Revanna flies to Germany amid obscene video row

BENGALURU: A day after voting for 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state concluded, Hassan Lok Sabha constituency candidate of the NDA, Prajwal Revanna, left for Germany. This comes amidst a controversy over alleged obscene video viral case in Hassan district.

It is learnt that Prajwal Revanna left for Frankfurt, Germany, at 3.15 am on Saturday. The obscene video clips had started circulating on social media just ahead of voting  day for the Lok Sabha election.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that a decision has been taken to order an SIT investigation in response to the request of the Women’s Commission.

“The government has decided to form a special investigation team in connection with the obscene video case related to Prajwal Revanna. Obscene video clips are circulating in Hassan district, where it appears that women have been sexually assaulted”, Siddaramaiah posted on X on Saturday.

“In this background, the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission had written a letter to the government to conduct an SIT investigation. This decision has been taken in response to the commission’s request”, he wrote on X.
