BENGALURU: A man who was sending obscene messages to a fitness influencer in Bengaluru has been arrested by the police. The accused, Sudhir Kumar from Haryana, was harassing the influencer on social media, sending her sexually suggestive messages.
The woman, who is a fitness and nutrition influencer, had reported the matter to the police, stating that the accused had been sending her inappropriate messages and was stalking her. He had even travelled from Haryana to Bengaluru to gather information about her and had been asking her gym colleagues about her.
The accused had been sending obscene messages and making unwanted advances despite the influencer’s objections. He had also been sending messages from different Instagram accounts, even after his original account was blocked. The police stated that the accused had been arrested based on the influencer’s complaint, and further investigation is under way.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Lokesh said, “A case has been registered against the accused, Sudhir Kumar, based on the complaint filed by the influencer. The accused had been harassing the influencer despite her objections, and we have arrested him. The influencer also hails from Haryana. Further investigation is under way”.
