DAVANAGERE: A professor of the Hampi Kannada University died and three others were injured after a unidentified vehicle collided with their car on the National Highway between Kalledevarapura and Basapanatti village in Jagalur taluk on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Professor Vasudevan.
Professor Vasudevan was travelling in a car with his son and two of his students when an unidentified vehicle rammed their car from the rear on Saturday night. The professor died on the spot and his body was taken to Jagalur Taluk Hospital for post-mortem examination. His son and others were admitted to a Davangere hospital.
A case has been registered at Jagalur police station.
