BENGALURU: Another FIR has been filed against alleged fraudster Aishwarya Gowda by a gynecologist, Dr Manjula Patil, who has alleged that she posed as Congress leader D K Suresh’s sister and cheated her of Rs 2.52 crore in cash and 2.350 kg of gold jewellery over a period of time.
Aishwarya had introduced herself as D K Suresh’s sister at Dr Manjula’s clinic and claimed to be involved in gold business, casinos and other largescale businesses. She had been taking money from her for investments from Dr Manjula since 2022, claiming they would be used for business purposes.
Dr Manjula was shocked after coming to know that Aishwarya had been booked for cheating in similar cases in Chandra Layout and filed a complaint at the RR Nagar police station.
Aishwarya had allegedly threatened Dr Patil over the phone, warning her not to file a complaint about the money that she had given. Then, the doctor went near the house and called Aishwarya through her driver, Dhananjaiah.
Aishwarya threatened Dr Manjula on the phone that not to complain about the money. Aishwarya’s drivers Ashwath and Dhananjaiah also allegedly threatened the doctor. An FIR has been registered against both of the drivers and the case is currently being investigated by the RR Nagar police.
