BENGALURU: The state government rolled out the Gruha Lakshmi scheme to provide financial aid of Rs 2,000 for the women heads of family. But the scheme benefits has yet to reach a significant part of the target audience because of some technical glitches.
Many of the eligible beneficiaries complained that they did not receive the amount even after enrolling for it. In view of this, a three-day camp called ‘Gruha Lakshmi Adalat’ is being organised at the panchayat level starting today.
The government has decided to help out those who were deprived of the scheme benefit and has organised three-day camp at panchayat level. The authorities concerned will help out with Aadhaar linking, bank-related issues, e-KYC updates and technical issues will be resolved on the spot. At the camp, bank managers, officials of the Women and Child Development and E-governance departments, panchayat presidents and CDPO members will also participate.
The Gruha Lakshmi Adalat is being held from 9 am to 5 pm for three days. The Adalat is being held in the BBMP limits and all urban and rural local bodies.
About five lakh elegible beneficiaries of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme have not received the benefits, and some women have not received it after the first month. Hence, the government is organising the Adalat to rectify the issues.
