KARWAR: A group of five medical students got trapped in the Arebail waterfall in the midst of the Arebail forest in Yellapur taluk after the water level suddenly increased. They were later rescued by the police and Forest department staff.
The incident occurred last Sunday, but came to light only now after a video was widely shared. The group from Hubballi were visiting the waterfall for the weekend.
As the group headed closer to the waterfall, the water level suddenly increased, leaving the students trapped. They were rescued after the water flow decreased slightly.
