CHIKKODI: A gram panchayat member was arrested for celebrating his birthday by firing bullets in the air in Kudachi town of Raibagh taluk.
The accused Babajan Khalimundasai was seen firing a gun in the air and behaving like a goon while cutting a cake and bursting firecrackers in the middle of the road. The police were criticised for not taking action despite the incident occurring near the police station.
The incident was captured on video and uploaded to social media, showing young men holding knives and creating a hostile atmosphere. As soon as the video went viral, the Kudachi police registered a case and arrested Babajan.
