BENGALURU: A GPS device fitted in the car helped a city doctor come to know about his wife’s illicit affair. He has since lodged a complaint with the Mahalakshmipuram police station.

The doctor, who works at a well-known hospital, had recently purchased a Hyundai i20 car with Bluelink GPS system, but his wife, was not aware of it. The wife too works as a doctor in a well-known private hospital and would take the car when she went on night shifts. It was then that she would meet her paramour.

Through the connected app on his mobile phone, the doctor found out that his wife had travelled to the international airport, returned to the city and parked the car at a hotel on BEL Road. She left the hotel for work at 5 am the next day. Like this, the wife and her paramour had checked into hotels on a few other occasions too and spent the nights.

When the doctor questioned the wife about it, she and her paramour allegedly assaulted him and threatened him of life. Based on the doctor’s complaint, the police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
