CHIKKODI: In flagrant violation of rules, the husband of a gram panchayat president celebrated his birthday in the panchayat office in a grand manner.
Appasaheb Chougale, the husband of Madabhavi Gram Panchayat president Savitha Chougale celebrated his birthday in the office by cutting a cake. He was even presented with a shawl, garland and turban by the panchayat staff.
The gross misuse of position has come in for severe criticism from various quarters of a video of the celebration started doing the rounds on social media.
