MANDYA: The government lower primary school at Anchemuddanahalli in KR Pet taluk is in a dilapidated state with cracked walls, broken ceiling tiles and rafters, posing a danger to the lives of the students and teachers.
The schoolchildren are forced to attend classes in rooms whose wall have cracked and look like they may fall any time. Several requests to the officials concerned and political leaders have not borne fruit.
Parents are now hesitant to send their children to the school and insist that the building should be repaired. They have also warned that the government, the education minister and the department will be held directly responsible in the event of any mishap.
