Govt orders departmental inquiries against Roopa, Rohini Sindhuri

BENGALURU: After issuing an advisory to sparring IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil and IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, the government has now ordered departmental inquiries against both the officers. The action comes in the wake of embarrassment caused to the government in the wake of the public spat between the two officers.

Three days ago, Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma had met both the officers separately, received their complaints against each other and even advised both against making any public statements or posting on social media.

Rohini Sindhuri and her husband Sudhir Reddy seen entering and exiting the Vidhana Soudha on Friday.

The departmental inquiry is expected to look into the issues raised by Roopa including the alleged irregularities in the purchase of cloth bags, construction of a swimming pool in a heritage building among others.

Meanwhile, Rohini Sindhuri met Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma at the Vidhana Soudha on Friday. She was accompanied by her husband Sudhir Reddy. She is learnt to have explained her position in the matter to the chief secretary.
