BENGALURU: After raking over Rs 120 crore during the 15 days of the one-time discounted traffic penalty payment scheme, the government has now announced that the 50 per cent rebate will be extended for another 15 days starting March 4.
As per the order, the rebate will be applicable to only those cases which are resolved with the 15-day period. The Bangalore Traffic Police (BTP) had collected over Rs 120 crore in 11 days after the government announced a 50 per cent concession on traffic fines in February.
