BENGALURU: Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot is planning to issue a second show-cause notice to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, as he did not respond to the first notice. The governor returned to Bengaluru from Delhi last night.

There was speculation that he issued the second notice to the CM before arriving Bengaluru. The governor’s next move has raised curiosity in political circles on whether the governor will start playing his real cards now.

If sanction for prosecution of CM Siddaramaiah is granted, the political clash between the government and Raj Bhavan will intensify. It is said that the governor will wait for some time.

The Parliament session is currently going on in Delhi and will end on August 12. If the CM is allowed to be prosecuted, opposition parties may create a ruckus in the Parliament, so it is unlikely that any decision will be made until then. Therefore, the governor is expected announce his decision likely after August 12.
