CHITRADURGA: Former BJP minister Gulihatti Shekar took to social media to express his frustration with the deplorable condition of KSRTC buses. On Sunday night, He shared a video of a bus plying from Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu to Bengaluru, which broke down near Kumbakonam after the axle got cut.

Shekhar, who was a passenger on the bus, expressed his disappointment with the state of public transport, saying it’s a shame that people are forced to travel in such conditions. He also pointed out that even KSRTC Volvo buses are in bad shape. He criticized the Siddaramaiah government’s free bus scheme, saying it’s causing more trouble for people who are forced to travel in old, ramshackle buses.

In a self-made video, Gulihatti Shekar said, “This is the bad condition of the KSRTC, even Volvo buses are breaking down. The bus started at 8.30 pm and broke down around 10 pm. This is the condition of the present government. I didn’t avail the privilege of a former MLA and paid Rs 1,100 for the ticket. Every time I come to Tamil Nadu, this is the same condition. Why should the government provide free travel for women”?
