KARNAL (Haryana): Eight coaches of a goods train derailed at the Tarawari station in Karnal district in Haryana, said the official on Tuesday. The goods train was headed to Amritsar from Delhi.
“Around 4.40 am today, we got information that a goods train was derailed at the Tarawari station in Karnal. Eight coaches have been derailed while two wheels have come off. So far, we cannot provide more information as a probe into the reason behind the derailment is under way”, said Dinesh, Inspector, Karnal police.

Inspector Dinesh added that the trains on the Delhi-Ambala railway line have been stopped. “The tracks are also being cleared. It will take a while to do so. However, we are working on it. The trains on the Delhi-Ambala railway line have been stopped. No casualties have been reported”, he added.
Earlier last month, two coaches of a goods train loaded with coal derailed near Faridabad railway station in Haryana. However, no injuries were reported in that incident as well. (ANI)
