KARWAR: A good train carrying coal, dereailed, causing one bogie to overturn, between Dudhsagar and Sonalim on Friday. No one was hurt in the incident.
The goods train was going from Vasco in Goa to Toranagallu in Ballari district carrying coal to the Jindal steel mill. Of the 11 bogies, one of them overturned after the train derailed.
Due to the accident, passenger train schedules on the Belagavi and Hubballi routes have been affected. Two trains coming through Goa have been cancelled. Also the Vasco Da Gama Express between Yeshwantpur in Bengaluru and Vasco in Goa has been cancelled. Some other trains have been diverted through Maharashtra.
