BENGALURU: A girl was gangraped over eight hours in a car even as her abductors went around the city for 60 km while they took turns to assault her. Early next morning, she was dumped in the middle of the road. Four people have since been arrested by the Koramangala police.

On March 25, the girl was sitting with a male friend at a park in the National Games Village (NGV) complex in Koramangala when a gang approached them and picked an argument. They then abducted the girl in a Maruti 800 car and went around for 60 km through Domlur, Indiranagar, Anekal, NICE Road and other places, all the while raping her by turns for about eight hours. She was later dumped on the road by the gang.

The survivor was hospitalised for treatment and two days later, she lodged a complaint with the Koramangala police. Based on her complaint, the police arrested Satish, Vijay, Sridhar and Kiran within 48 hours. Preliminary investigation revealed that the four are known to each other and hail from the same locality.
