BENGALURU: A Germen citizen mocked the pathetic condition of a stretch of road inside Cubbon Park which connects to Vidhana Soudha where a long crack has developed and the road has sunk in. In a video, the German national, who appears to have suffered a fall at the spot, can be seen pretending to be limping due to knee pain and also holding his back. The video has since gone viral
Many elected representatives use this road every day, but nobody seems to have paid any attention to the bad shape of the road. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has been receiving thousands of complaints about potholes on roads on the Fix My Street app and officials are have been directed to attend to complaints in a time-bound manner, but the cracked stretch does not seem to have caught anyone’s attention.
In the video, the German national can be heard saying, “I come from Germany and had a fall in the nice park here. I hope this was the last accident here. Look around, this broken road is not good. You have go to the government and should talk with the government”. He then walks away mumbling, “Oh..my knee” and then clutching his back.
His female partner can also be seen watching the goings-on, but preferred not to speak.
