BENGALURU: The Greater Bengaluru Authority’s (GBA) callous work is leading public outrage due of half‑done road work. The GBA has covered half the potholes and left the other half unattended on the Peenya‑Kanteerava Studio road.

The GBA brags that it has covered all potholes in the city, but people continue to suffer due of its negligence. On the road that connects Kanteerava Studio to Tumkur Road, Peenya and Jalahalli, the GBA officials have covered potholes on one half of the road and left the other half as it is.

Vehicle riders are venting their anger against GBA for not covering the potholes. A bike rider, Boregowda, said the GBA has done incomeplete road work. “The situation of the road has remained the same from the beginning. Vehicle users are facing problems due to potholes. There is traffic from Peenya to Kanteerava Stadium. I don’t know what the government is doing or whether it turned a blind eye towards the problem”, he said.

Another resident, Rahul, requested the authorities to complete the pending works as soon as possible. “People are suffering due to the incomplete work. If this is done, traffic will move smoothly. If any untoward incident happens, who will take the responsibility? It really is a risk to everyone’s lives”, he said.

Auto driver Muniratnam said that almost roads in Bengaluru have a similar situation and road users are suffering every day. He blamed the callousness of the GBA officials for the plight of the road.
