Gavi Mutt prepares 5-6 lakh bajjis for devotees attending annual fair

KOPPAL: The Gavisiddeshwara Mutt here is preparing 5-6 lakh chilli bajjis for devotees taking part in the annual fair organised by the mutt. Abhinava Gavisiddeswar Swami of the Gavi Mutt himself signalled the start of the bajji making by dropping a few in a huge frying pan on Monday.

About 25-30 quintals of gram flour, 10 barrels of cooking oil, 15 quintals of green chillies, one quintal of salt, 50 kg of ajwain, 50 kg of cooking soda are being used to prepare the chilli bajjis.

For the preparation, 15 large frying pans and 40 LPG cylinders are being used while 100 volunteers are involved in frying the bajjis which will be available till 10 pm on Monday.
