The association successfully cleared thousands of loads of garbage from lakes in the area and developed the region. They also requested alternative arrangements for waste management in Bommasandra and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, the tractor mafia has raised its head again, dumping garbage in empty government lands in the area. The locals are frustrated and have complained to the authorities.
The Bommasandra industrial association is now planning to protest against the garbage mafia and has filed complaints with the police and civic authorities. They are determined to put an end to the garbage mafia’s activities. The association has identified the tractor mafia as the main culprits behind the garbage problem. These individuals collect waste from apartments, hotels and chicken and meat stalls and dump it in vacant plots.

A Prasad said that the leaders of this garbage mafia are the ones who have been using tractors locally. In order to make quick money, the tractor mafia collects the debris of demolished buildings, the wet and dry waste from apartments, hotels and chicken shops and dump it everywhere, thus playing with the health of the people living in the vacant lands.
