SHIVAMOGGA: An idol of Lord Ganesha was found when cleaning work was being undertaken on land belonging to the Shivamogga City Corporation on Tuesday.
The civic body officials were clearing the land in Seegehatti Layout using earthmovers, to take up some construction activity. When digging work was going on, an idol of Lord Ganesha was found, much to the surprise of everyone.
As news spread, locals started arriving there to take a look at the idol and even offered prayers. They even insisted that a temple be built at the spot and the idol installed there.
