BENGALURU: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) conducted checks on eateries in several parts of Bengaluru and issued notices to those who failed to maintain hygiene and sold expired food items.
Officials from the Health, Safety, and Quality department inspected food stalls near bus stations, checking for cleanliness, hygiene and the sale of expired food products. The officials also created awareness about hygiene and public safety with good quality food.
They also collected samples of drinking water used in hotels and restaurants to ensure compliance with safety standards. The officials aimed to raise awareness about maintaining proper hygiene and quality in food establishments.
