DAVANAGERE: Four people survived with injuries after the car they were travelling in crashed into a roadside tree near Masinakere Cross in Channagiri taluk after the driver lost control, on Saturday.
The injured Sachin, Bhagya, Shravan and Vani were travelling from Gangagondanahalli village to Birur when the accident occurred early on Saturday. The driver apparently lost control of the car while trying to avoid a waterlogged pothole on the road.
Locals rushed the injured to a hospital nearby where two people were reported to be in serious condition while the other two sustained minor injuries. A case has been registered at the Channagiri police station.
