Four of family suffer severe burn injuries, three houses damaged in LPG cylinder blast at DJ Halli

BENGALURU: Four members of a family suffered severe burn injuries and three houses were damaged in a LPG gas cylinder blast at a house near Anand Theatre in DJ Halli, Bengaluru. The incident occurred around 11.30 am on Sunday.

Nazeer, his wife Kulsum and their two children were injured and have been admitted to Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Nazeer was a panipuri vendor. The cylinder explosion was so intense that it destroyed the three houses. The gas leak is believed to have occurred due to a faulty regulator.

The regulator had expired in 2016, which led to the gas leak. The gas filled the house, causing the blast. Preliminary investigations suggest that the blast occurred suddenly at 11.30 am.

The DJ Halli police visited the house and have registered a case.
