RAMANAGARA: Four people died after a Maruti Swift car crashed into a barrier on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway near Jayapura Gate in Ramanagara taluk on Sunday. The accident was due to the driver feeling drowsy.
The victims were identified as Muthuraju (55), Thammannagowda (27), Sanju (28), and driver Sachin (27), all from KR Pete in Mandya district.
The accident occurred when the car was on its way from Mysuru to Bengaluru. The impact was severe and the car was badly damaged. Three people died on the spot, while one person suffered serious injuries and succumbed at the hospital.
The Ramanagara traffic police visited the accident site and conducted an investigation.
