KALABURAGI: Four people died and four others were injured in a serial accident involving a truck, a motorcycle and a car near Hasanapura village in the taluk on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as Raghavendra (25), Mujahid (30), Husainbi (45) and Moulabi (50).
Paramanand, who was on the motorcycle and three people who were travelling in the car sustained injuries and were shifted to a private hospital in Kalaburagi for treatment.
The riders of the motorcycle were on their way from Sindhagi to Chittapur when it crashe against the truck following which the driver immediately applied brakes. A speeding car coming from behind crashed into the truck.
Three of the dead were occupants of the car. Kalaburagi police commissioner Dr Sharanabasappa visited the spot. The traffic police have registered a case in this regard.
