CHAMARAJANAGAR: Four child labourers, who were working at a stone crusher unit near Hirikati Gate in Gundlupet taluk were rescued by the police and Labour Department officials. All the four hail from West Bengal.
Based on specific information, a team of the police and Labour Department, led by tahsildar Tanmay raided A A V Stone Crusher unit. At that time, there were 15 workers at the crusher including the four child labourers.
The four children were rescued and an FIR has been registered against the owner of the stone crusher unit, Yeshwanth, and three others, at the Begur police station.
