Four boys attacked by stray dogs in separate cases

KOPPAL, BALLARI: Four children were injured after they were attacked by stray dogs in separate cases in Koppal and Hosapete.

Three schoolchildren were bitten by stray dogs when they were on their way to school from their houses in Dinyar Extension and Kanakagiri Layout in Koppal on Tuesday. The injured are Abrar, Manju and Farhan.

The boys were attacked by a pack of 4-5 dogs and were admitted to the district hospital. Locals have vented their anger at the municipal authorities for not doing much to control the population of stray dogs in the town.

At Chittadavadgi in Hosapete, Ayan (8) was attacked by stray dogs and bitten in the leg. The bleeding boy was taken to a hospital for treatment. Local residents have blamed the municipal authorities for the growing stray dog menace.
