KOLAR: The Kolar Rural police have arrested four men who had kidnapped an individual to recover a loan from him. They are now on the lookout for the moneylender who ordered the kidnapping.
Nagaraj, a resident of Patna vilalge had borrowed a loan of Rs 2.5 lakh from Srinath, but had not repaid it. On January 1, Nagaraj was kidnapped from near Harati village in a vehicle and the kidnappers forced him to transfer Rs 80,000 through NEFT and took away his gold ring before letting him off.
Nagaraj later lodged a complaint based on which the police arrested Abhishek and Vinay Kumar of Shillangere village, Govardhan of Dimba Chamanahalli and Govardhan of Chamanahalli on Thursday. The police also recovered Rs 80,00 and the gold ring from the accused and seized the vehicle used for the kidnap. Further investigation is under way.
