BENGALURU: Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda was admitted to Manipal Hospital near HAL yesterday due to suspected respiratory infection. During the trip to Delhi for the Parliament session, Deve Gowda’s health had been affected due to the cold and fluctuating weather. For the last two to three days, he has had respiratory-related problems.
He contracted an infection and is being treated by a special team of doctors at Manipal Hospital. The treatment is going on in the general ward, and is likely to continue for another two or three days. The doctors have not yet decided when he will be discharged.
Former CM Kumaraswamy said that Deve Gowda’s followers have nothing to worry about. “God’s blessings are upon him. The problem arose due to the Delhi weather. There is no need to worry, he will stay in hospital for three more days. He keeps saying that he will return home, he is now fine”, Kumaraswamy said.
