The KAS officer, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Haveri University registrar.

MYSURU: Former commissioner of the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), G T Dinesh Kumar, has been appointed by the state government as registrar (administration) of the Haveri University. Dinesh Kumar was awaiting posting after he was removed from MUDA after the controversy over allotting sites to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi B M broke out.

Dinesh Kumar was facing serious charges in allocation of 14 sites under 50: 50 ratio the Siddaramaiah’s wife in upscale localities in lieu of acquired land in Kesare. The posting as registrar has raised eyebrows as it is being seen as a reward to the officer.

As soon as the controversy had broken out, Urban Development Minister Byrathi Suresh has rushed to Mysuru, held a meeting and ordered the transfer of Dinesh Kumar. Ever since, he had been awaiting posting.
