BENGALURU: A former college student allegedly attempted to stab a junior, leaving him injured, after the latter questioned about inappropriate messages sent to a girl classmate in R T Nagar. Two youths have been arrested in this connection.
The senior student was sending inappropriate messages sent a junior girl student, who confided in her classmate Vaibhav. When Vaibhav confronted the senior student, the latter pulled out a knife and attacked Vaibhav in the middle of the road, causing injuries to his stomach, shoulder and other areas.
The police have registered a case and arrested the accused, identified as Prabhudev and Ganesh. Deputy Commissioner of Police B S Nemagowda said, “The accused Prabhudev and Ganesh as well as the victim Vaibhav are students of Adarsh College. The attack occurred on October 11 over sending messages to a girl student and a complaint was lodged on Tuesday and the two arrested”.
The DCP added that the prime accused had completed his PUC from the same college and was working as an ambulance driver while the other accused had completed Class 10 and was working at a KFC kitchen. “We will invoke the Arms Act after recovery of the knife. No prior cases were registered against them and we are looking into their history”, he added.
