BENGALURU: Former chief minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy was admitted to hospital in the early hours on Wednesday due to fever and exhaustion from travel.
Kumaraswamy had been feeling unwell for the last two days and was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar on medical advice. Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research director Dr C N Manjunath also called on the former CM at the hospital and held discussions with the doctors treating him.
Kumaraswamy was brought to hospital by his wife Anitha and son Nikhil around 3.40 am. Anitha visited Kumaraswamy again later in the day as he was resting earlier.
Meanwhile, the hospital put out a health bulletin at 11 am stating that the former CM was under the care of Dr P Satishchandra and team. “He arrived around 3.40 am today with weakness and discomfort. He was immediately evaluated and treatment initiated, for which he responded very well. Currently, he is hemodynamically stable, comfortable and coherent and has been kept under close observation”, the bulletin said.
