Former BJP minister Suresh Kumar down with Chikungunya, being treated in ICU

BENGALURU: Former education minister and BJP MLA S Suresh Kumar, who was suffering from high fever, has been admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru. According to family sources, he was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Suresh Kumar has been suffering from Chikungunya. He had recently cycled from Bengaluru to Tirupati and had also participated in a padyatra for a day. He had been suffering from a high fever for the past 3-4 days. He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night after his fever worsened.

Suresh Kumar lataer released a clarification on his health status, saying, “Do not believe the rumours being spread in the media about my illness. I am healthy, I am suffering from chikungunya for a few days and was admitted to the hospital for treatment as per the doctor’s suggestion. I have fully recovered from the fever and I am now taking rest. I request my well-wishers not to worry unnecessarily”.
