Former Bigg Boss contestant Divya Suresh involved in hit-and-run accident

BENGALURU: Former Bigg Boss contestant and actress Divya Suresh’s car collided with a two-wheeler, seriously injuring a woman, at 1.30 am on October 4 on MM Road in Bytarayanapura. The actress allegedly fled the scene without stopping her car, but the incident came to light now.

The injured woman’s relative, Kiran, filed a complaint against the actress on October 4. According to the complaint, Kiran was riding a bike with his relatives, who were going to the hospital near Girinagar that night. Anusha was sitting in the middle and Anitha was sitting behind the bike.

At this time, Kiran swerved the bike a little to the right as a dog started chasing them. Then suddenly, Divya Suresh’s car crossed the same road and hit Anita’s leg. The car didn’t stop, and Divya Suresh fled the scene.

The Bytarayanapura traffic police traced the car’s number with the help of CCTV footage and seized the vehicle. However, Divya Suresh allegedly got the the car released the same night.

Actress Divya Suresh has not even contacted the victim woman so far, who is from Mysuru. Anitja works as a tailor. Her kneecap is broken and she has not been able to walk for a year. Anitha was treated at BGS Hospital and underwent an operation with the hospital bills running up to Rs 2 lakh .

Kiran Kiran, who works as cab driver, has appealed for compensation, stating that Anitha is unable to walk for a year due to the injury.
