Foreign national arrested for smuggling narcotics worth Rs 10 crore

BENGALURU: A foreign national was arrested by the Bengaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) and Chikkajala police for smuggling narcotics worth Rs 10 crore in the international market.

The woman, who had been living  in India for three years on a business visa and later an education visa, was found to be involved in drug peddling.

She had been smuggling MDMA worth Rs 10 crore and was caught by the police while selling the narcotics near Rajanukunte in Chikkajala police station jurisdiction. The police seized 5.325 kg of MDMA and an Apple mobile phone from her possession.

The woman had concealed the narcotics in new churidar dress pieces and brought them from Delhi to Bengaluru. A case has been registered at the Chikkajala police station.
