MANGALURU: Air traffic at the Mangaluru International Airport was affected on Tuesday due to the Iran-Israel conflict and the consequent closure of airspace in the Middle East.
Several airlines operating from the Mangaluru airport had issed advisories to their passengers to check the status of their flights before arriving at the airport. Later in the day, Qatar opened up its airspace for international flights.
Prior to this an Air India Express flight bound for Dammam was diverted to Muscat while and IndiGo flight to Abu Dhabi was diverted to Mumbai, airline officials said.
