KALABURAGI: A five-year-old girl died after the roof of their house collapsed due to strong winds and rain at Mutkod village in Jewargi taluk on Monday night. Luckily, three other girls, who were in another room survived.
The deceased was identified as Ahadya Mallappa Pasapura. She was playing inside the house when the roof came down on her. The Nelogi police have registered a case.
In another incident, a labourer died while another was injured when the roof of a building, where they were working, collapsed on them in Sedam town on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Khajaiah of Kurakanta village while the injured is Bandeppa. They were demolishing an old building of the Kasturiba residential school when the roof collapsed. The Sedam police have registered a case.
