BALLARI, BAGALKOT: Two people riding on a scooter crashed into a parked tractor and died near the polytechnic college in Ballari on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Abdul Arman (21) and his niece Haseena Nayaz (5).
The deceased were residents of Guggarahatti in Ballari. Arman was taking his brother’s daughter on the scooter when he rammed into the parked tractor from behind. The tractor trailer was loaded with cement blocks and both died on the spot. The traffic police shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy and registered a case.
In another incident, a motorcycle rider died on the spot after colliding with a car near Gaddanakeri Cross in Bagalkot taluk on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Ningabasappa Manneri (42).
Ningabasappa was a resident of Yadalli near Bagalkot. The car was coming from the direction of Bagalkot, but did not stop after the accident. The Kaladagi police have registered a case.
